ACCREDITATION
Since February 1999, the Seminario Bíblico Río Grande (Rio Grande Bible Institute) has been formally accredited. The authorization to grant certificates and degrees at the Associate, Baccalaureate, and Master’s levels is given by the Association for Biblical Higher Education (ABHE) Commission on Accreditation (5850 T. G. Lee Blvd., Ste. 130, Orlando, FL 32822, 407.207.0808), an accrediting association recognized by the United States Department of Education. The authorization to function in Texas is overseen by the Texas Workforce Commission.
Being accredited by ABHE means that the institution meets the accepted standards of quality and integrity in the world of higher education, that we have been approved by a group of peer institutions, since the accrediting association is made up of leaders from other biblical seminaries. This means that our students can transfer their credits to American Bible Colleges, Christian Free Arts Colleges, and similar secular universities. Seminario Biblico Rio Grande is also a member of the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA), the National Association for Independent Colleges and Universities (NAICU) and the American Council on Education (ACE).
Seminario Biblico Rio Grande is also a member of the following agencies: Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability (ECFA), Christian Stewardship Association, the Canadian Council of Christian Charities (CCCC), and the Independent Fundamental Churches of America (IFCA).
